Highlights from the hall of fame football player and All time Great Runningback Orenthal James Simpson also known as ” THE JUICE” Highlights from his glorius football career and the first 2000 yards season! IN 1973 OJ averaged 143 yards rushing per game in a 14 game season the most ever by far while Erik Dickerson on the other hand averaged 130 yards per game and fumbled the ball twice as much as OJ in his so called record 1984 season which had 16 games. In 1973 OJ had more yards than Larry Csconka and Mercury Morris combined OJ was the Babe Ruth of Running backs. And his team was the 1927 Yankees in terms of rushing yards For not only did OJ have the most rushing yards per game in a season but his team did too getting 220 per game , over 3000 rushing yards in just 14 games and I bet you won’t be able to name any one of ojs backup running backs its because every body was so concerned about stopping OJ putting 8 even 9 men in the box to stop him that two of his other running backs were able to get 500 yards rushing and OJ alone was already outrushing entire teams. The Patriots tried to use 6 defensive linemen to stop him but still couldn’t. The Juice (as OJ was famously nicknamed) ran a 9.4 second 100 yard dash that’s only a tenth of a second away from Bob Hayes’ time and OJ was at least 40 pounds bigger!!! He and the USC sprint team set the world record on the 4×400 yard dash (comes out to about 402 meters) and it wasn’t until Usain Bolt and Company came along that anybody covered that amount of distance in less time the Jamaican sprint team’s time was approximately 1 second better in the 400 meter relay. Rushing Yards per game in a single season Rank Player (age), + Active Y/G Year Teams 1. OJ Simpson+ (26) 143.1 1973 BUF 2. Jim Brown+ (27) 133.1 1963 CLE 3. Walter Payton+ (23) 132.3 1977 CHI 4. Eric Dickerson+ (24) 131.6 1984 RAM 5. OJ Simpson+ (28) 129.8 1975 BUF 6. Jamal Lewis (24) 129.1 2003 BAL 7. Earl Campbell+ (25) 128.9 1980 HOU 8. Barry Sanders+ (29) 128.3 1997 DET 9. Jim Brown+ (22) 127.3 1958 CLE 10. Terrell Davis (26) 125.5 1998 DEN As you can see Erik Dickerson is only averaging 2 more yards per game than OJ did in his Second best season (1975) and OJ averaged 12 more yards per game in his best season (1973). 143 x 2 +2003 (add 2 more games) = 2289 yards far better than Dickerson’s 2105 yards. But in actuality oj’s 1975 season is even better than his 1973 season because in addition to getting 1817 yards rushing he had 426 yards receiving he broke Gale Sayers touchdown record with 16 rushing and 7 receiving (more than John Stallworth had that year) he averaged 160 yard from scrimmage per game (rushing and receiving yards) the most ever for a player who played their entire season, he did all this in just 14 games. If you multiply 160 by 16 (games in a modern day NFL season) you get 2560 yards from scrimmage that’s just amazing clearly the greatest single season performance in NFL history. Surely much better than Marshall Faulk’s “record” of 2429 yards for scrimmage in 1999. OJ led his team in Touchdown receptions just imagine what a valuable offensive weapon like OJ would have done if he had been on the rams he would have had 3000 yards from Scrimmage!!! OJ has the most career 200 yard games (6) and is the Only Running back ever to set the records for Rushing yards in a season and touchdowns in a season in both college and the pros. He should have been a two time Heisman winner but Gary Beban robbed it from him in 1967 after OJ had just beaten him in what many called the greatest football game ever played (most notably Keith Jackson). In the 4th quarter Oj broke off a 64 yard touchdown to win the game. Gery Beban was ucla’s quarterback at the time then he wins the Heisman that doesnt make sense OJ dominated him in the 1st half he had this Touchdown where he broke 4 tackles and then carried 2 defenders into the end zone. In the following year OJ won the Heisman with the most points ever (2853). Earning a total of 4575 career Heisman points the most ever. In my opinion OJ is easily the greatest college football player ever and surely in the top 10 football players ever regardless of his off the field issues .

@XtremeAthleticism herschell walker?
In my opinion the only guy that really comes close to Oj in terms of talent and achievments both in the pros and college and the pros is barry sanders
I doenst matter what Oj did or didnt do he is the greatest runningback ever maybe he is a murderer still doesnt change the fact that he is the greatest runningback ever so people just dont understand you have to seperate the two things Oj’s football should be kept seperate
I suppose that could work, but my main concern about wearing one was other fans might think I’m mocking and say “OJ DIDN’T DO IT!”, yet non-fans would probably criticize and say “OJ DID IT!”
looks like he runnin’ from da po’ lice
he killed as a running back, then he killed as a husband
Gifted but stupid now hes paying time in the most racist pen in the face of the earth good ridence.
i say so what if he maybe stabbed two people. he was a hell of an althlete.
ohh i know me too i watched the same highligts on espn classic Oj is crazy quick he is jumping all over the place just simply amazing no body even compares to OJ, all tell you what though Oj had deceptive speed he ran so smooth that it was hard to tell how fast he was really running.
As a football player people often forget how great he really was.
great highlights with great quality. you see him start and finish the runs. i hate when they put it in slow mo cuz you cant see the guys speed. this vid isnt in reg motion but its still his full runs.
Thank-you very, very much for letting people have the oppurtunity to see the most explosive, elusive and exciting football player to have ever played!!!!! Watching O.J. on a Monday Night Football game was just so exciting and incredible and the game where he broke Jim Browns record and just the great inspiration watching him and how much he inspired me to play like that and do your very best!!!!!
@hayabusakun buy an autographed one and frame on your wall
oj had everything you could want in a running back no doubt he was one of the goats.. thanks for the highlights xtreme
I’m thinking of buying an OJ Simpson jersey, but I don’t know if it’ll cause too big a reaction from others. What would you suggest?
Easily one of the top 5 RB’s of all-time. Regardless of the off-field issues
that is unreal…I was a little to young to remember him..but I’ve never seen a back that gifted.
Incredile and even graceful. OJ makes them look bad. I like the way he kind of extends and plays his legs for both balance and a sudden change in direction. Damn fast.
He was just a lot faster than the other guys.
A Larger veiw of the Same play is 0:41
Na that’s average when it comes to Oj I have seen better from Oj what about 2:21
Agreed…AP’s line isn’t blocking as good as the past 2 seasons…But it looks like AP’s not making decisions quick enough also and there’s still that fumbling problem
What a beast! Greatest All-Time!
Chirs Johnson’s season was better than Erick Dickerson’s but it wasnt as good as Oj’s two best seasons or Barry Sanders
Best Season Chris Johnson is fast , Oj Fast but Chris Johnson is just pure speed where Oj was Fast Elusive and Strong all at the same time nobody Else is like him in that respect I would have said Ap before this season but he has been doing his Job Lately A lot of it is the O-line isnt playing up to the level they had been in previous seasons

yes good but oj and barry sanders are in the hall of fame and he never ran for 2000 yards he was good enough to be in the hall but his career was wasted all his talent was wasted Oj almost became like that too they did use him proparly until lou saban became coach if he had had saban earlier on we would be talking all time leading rusher I still wouldnt compare Hershcal Walker to Oj Simpson or Barry Sanders
